Grants of up to $20,000 to Massachusetts nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for community programs. Funding is intended to benefit the underserved in the areas of arts, culture, education, religion, health, and human services. Priority consideration will be given to programs that address cruelty to animals or children. The Foundation specifically serves organizations based in Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, or Franklin counties.
Grants will be considered for specific programs or projects with preference given to organizations that provide direct services.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
-Nonprofit organizations that serve vital community needs are eligible.
-The Foundation does not provide support for endowment campaigns.
-The Foundation typically does not provide support for start-up nonprofits or programs that are not yet established.
Pre-Application Information
-The Charles H. Hall Foundation application deadline is March 1, 11:59 p.m.
-If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59p.m.
-Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within 3 to 4 months of the deadline.
Estimated Size of Grant
Grant size may range from $5,000-$20,000.
Term of Contract
Grants from the Charles H. Hall Foundation are 1 year in duration. Applicants will not be awarded a grant for more than 3 consecutive years.
